View abandoned shopping carts and filter them

What is an abandoned shopping cart?

Suppose that someone visits your website and loves few products that your offer. They add the products to their cart, go to the checkout but for some reason don't place the order or leave the payment process incomplete.  This is called abandoned shopping cart where your potential customers add products to cart but leave before checkout. Here we will discuss what you should do in such a circumstance.

Please note, for an order to be counted as an abandoned shopping cart, the customer must have entered their e-mail address at the checkout and that the order should have been left like that for at least 15 minutes.

How can you look for abandoned carts?

In your Abicart dashboard go to Orders and then click on Abandoned carts. A list of abandoned shopping carts is displayed. Currently, there are four ways to filter:

    • Today
    • Current week
    • Current month
    • Last month

What can you see for information?
Currently, you can see the customer's e-mail, which products they had in the shopping cart and the date the products were placed in the shopping cart.

At present, this information can only be viewed and you cannot contact the buyer directly through this interface. If you want to contact the customer, you have to copy the e-mail address and then mail them personally updating them on some exciting feature about the product or suggesting them how it can be useful to them.
